You Think You Know (You’re Not Clever)
You think you know – You’re not clever
You think you know – You’re not clever
You think you know – You’re not clever
You think you know – You’re not clever
Sittin’ in the middle of your own paranoia
cause you ain’t got nothin’ to do.
Countin’ all the reasons for the change of the seasons
cause your window’s got a poor point of view.
Test your diagnosis in your clinical neurosis
and hypothesize your self-validity.
Politicize and ostracize the obviously
justified and label it impartiality.
You think you know – You’re not clever
You think you know – You’re not clever
You think you know – You’re not clever
You think you know – You’re not clever
Living in denial; it’s easy to turn the dial
as you viciously rewrite our history.
See the world on trial.
Prosecute it with a smile,
and declare it such atrocity.
It’s hard to think outside the box
when tangled up in your own bubble.
Sympathy, like empathy,
are hardly worth the toil and trouble.
Got Politics?
Take the “hypocritic” oath …
You think you know – You’re not clever
You think you know – You’re not clever
You think you know – You’re not clever
You think you know – You’re not clever
Note: What to do during while staying at home during the Corona virus pandemic (COVID-19) of 2020? Write a song, make an in-house demo, do some collage art and create a music video, of course. The song, originally written as lyrical poetry, takes aim at those who have nothing better to do than politicize the health scare and spread misinformation.
